    Lone Star Medics is made up of highly motivated individuals who have vast experience in field and tactical medicine.



    Caleb Causey

    Caleb Causey started his career riding out with Medstar ambulance services in Fort Worth Texas; as part of the Boy Scouts of America’s Explorer program at the age of 16. After high school he joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic.  Caleb has deployed to various locations in the Balkans; where he has worked as a line medic with the 82nd Airborne and in the ER of the 212 MASH.  He especially enjoyed his duty as an OPFOR Medic while stationed in Louisiana.  After serving his country, Caleb joined the City of Benbrook’s Fire Department and served there as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT. Over the next several years Caleb was involved with the department’s rescue dive team and worked as the Tactical Medic with local area SWAT team.  Caleb also has worked with multiple Private Military/Security Companies.  Caleb completed Paramedic school in College Station, Texas.  This is where he attained his American Heart Association’s BLS Instructor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications, Heartsaver Instructor, and Emergency Medical Services Instructor for the state of Texas. Caleb has proven to have a true passion for teaching medicine to people of all walks of life.  Most of his classes are full of knowledge, experience, and laughter.

    Lone Star Medics also utilizes the professional experiences of some very unique individuals in field and tactical medicine. The following personel have very extensive knowledge in each of their specific fields and backgrounds. Our Tactical Medical Director has a strong background in both roles as a medic and as a doctor.  All our instructors are Veterans of the United States Military.



    Kyle Omberg, USMC

    Over the past 28 years, Kyle Omberg has been serving in the Fire Service as a Firefighter, Officer, and an EMT-B. Kyle is a graduate of the US Park Police EMT-Tactical Course (CONTOMS) and the Fort Worth Fire Department’s Urban SWAT Medic Course.  He has had the privilege of serving with a local area’s SWAT team as a Tactical Medic, Entry team, and the Sniper Team Leader for over 11 years. Kyle has multiple instructor certifications; American Red Cross (CPR/AED, First Aid), Public Safety Diver Trainer, Fire and Law Enforcement Instructor for the State of Texas. Kyle Omberg is a six year veteran of the United States Marine Corps with deployments to South America, the Caribbean, Southern Europe, East Africa, and the Middle East.

    Logan Loftin, USMC

    Here is another great Marine!  Logan Loftin proudly served as a Field Communications Operator in the United States Marine Corps from 1981-1984.  Logan has continued his service to his country and community in many ways.  He has been an Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate for 20 years.  Logan has been a Volunteer Firefighter for almost 30 years; and been the town of Santo, Texas Fire Department’s Deputy Chief for 12 years.  This Marine doesn’t stop there… He also has worked with numerous Federal Wildland Fire Agencies. In the private sector, he has operated as Lead Medic while working with other private security companies
